Description | The proposed project consists of constructing a park and ride lot facility on a 2.30-acre site in Paulding County, Georgia. The purpose of this project is to construct a permanent park and ride facility, with two bus pavilions, bus parking and designated parking areas for commuters using the X-press service. The site is located within an existing 10.65-acre commercial/retail development, which contains a movie theatre and two undeveloped outparcels. GRTA has an agreement with the property owner which allows GRTA to provide X-press service at this location. Currently, commuters park in the overflow parking areas for the movie theatre, and the buses pick up and drop off riders along the northern boundary of the site. This has been a temporary measure that was put in place due to the urgent need to provide X-press service in the area. |
