Description | HoloSolis, a French manufacturer of low carbon PV cells and modules, has secured over €220 million in public and private funding to build one of Europe’s largest solar gigafactories in Sarreguemines-Hambach, France. The project aims to produce PV cells and modules with a production capacity of 5 GW per year, generating 2,000 direct jobs and contributing to Europe's energy independence. The funds will be used to finalize the factory design, deploy TOPCon technology, and support recruitment and supply-chain setup. The plant is expected to be fully operational by 2030. |
