The project involves converting the former largest coal-burning power plant in Pennsylvania into a power and data infrastructure hub to power AI and high-performance computing data centers. EQT Corporation will supply natural gas exclusively for the facility, sourcing up to 665,000 MMBTUs daily. The project includes seven 7HA.02 natural gas turbines provided by GE Vernova, with initial deliveries starting in 2026. Kiewit Power Constructors Co. is responsible for construction. The facility is expected to begin power production in 2027 on a 3,200-acre site in Pennsylvania. |
