Description | The Homer City Energy Campus is a 4.4 gigawatt facility under construction on a 3,200-acre site in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. It is a transformation of the former largest coal-burning power plant in Pennsylvania into a power and data infrastructure hub that will power AI and high-performance computing data centers. EQT Corporation has an agreement to supply natural gas for the facility, sourcing up to 665,000 MMBTUs daily. The project includes seven 7HA.02 natural gas turbines provided by GE Vernova, with initial deliveries starting in 2026. Construction is handled by Kiewit Power Constructors Co. Financing is led by Knighthead Capital Management. |
