Description | Homer City Generation received air-quality permit for its natural gas power plant, which will power a $10 billion AI and data center campus in Indiana County, Pennsylvania. The plant is being built on the site of the former Homer City coal-fired generation station and will have 4.4 gigawatts of power capacity using seven GE Vernova combined cycle turbines and 10 Mitsubishi Power FT8 gas turbines. Construction is underway with the first part expected to come online in 2027. |
