Description | The Hong Kong-Shenzhen Western Rail Link (HSWRL) is a crucial infrastructure project aimed at enhancing connectivity between Hong Kong and Shenzhen in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. The project involves constructing an approximately 18.1 km underground railway line with five stations and a depot, connecting Hung Shui Kiu in Hong Kong to Qianhai in Shenzhen. The Hong Kong section is about 7.3 km long and includes co-location customs clearance facilities in Shenzhen to facilitate efficient cross-boundary travel. The project supports the development of the Northern Metropolis and local travel demand in the Hung Shui Kiu/Ha Tsuen New Development Area and surrounding areas. |
