Hospital construction project in Kiambu County

The project involves the construction of hospitals in Kiambu County, Kenya. A new reproductive health wing with 400 beds will be constructed at Thika Level 5 Hospital. Additionally, four Level 4 hospitals will be built, including Githunguri Level 4 Hospital with a capacity of 250 beds, specializing in cancer treatment. Bibirioni Level 4 Hospital in Limuru will also be established. These initiatives will increase the total bed capacity from 1,100 to 3,500. Furthermore, a second Renal Dialysis Unit equipped with five machines will be set up at Gatundu Level 5 Hospital, capable of accommodating 10 patients daily. Thika Level 5 Hospital already has a renal unit serving six kidney patients daily, and a new renal unit will be opened at Kiambu Level 5 Hospital. Thika Level 5 Hospital has also received a modern CT scan. Lastly, a Medical Assessment Therapy Clinic will be constructed at Kariru Level 4 hospital in Kiambaa constituency to provide rehabilitation care for over 1500 drug addicts.
