Hosur Airport Project

The proposed airport in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, is progressing with the Tamil Nadu government planning to initiate land acquisition within the next three months. The project has completed an Obstacle Limitation Surfaces (OLS) survey for two shortlisted sites, both technically feasible for construction with some challenges. The government is expected to finalize the site within six weeks and then begin land acquisition. The airport aims to enhance regional connectivity and boost economic growth in Tamil Nadu. The government is also seeking regulatory approvals including a separate air traffic control zone, with approval expected within two months. Discussions for a joint venture with Taneja Aerospace and Aviation Limited (TAAL) and technical consultations with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) are underway.
