Description | UC Davis is planning the next phase replace the old and inefficient campus steam distribution system with a new energy-efficient hot water system for heating. This phase consists of four major components to support the conversion to hot water heating: (1) new underground hot water supply and return pipelines, (2) mechanical upgrades within buildings to support the conversion to hot water heating, (3) demolition of former wastewater treatment plant facilities, and (4) construction of a new Thermal Energy Storage (TES) plant that includes a new TES tank, pumphouse, and electrical substation. |
