Description

Description

The power plant had a generating capacity of 66-MW (two 33-MW generators), fired with heavy oil. The joint venture company was formed between Sithe Energies (48%) (majority-owned by France's Vivendi Universal, with Japan's Marubeni Corp. holding a 29.5% stake.) , Donguan Power Industry Corp., Lucky Man Investment, and Dongguan Houjie Technology Development. Sithe's projects in China were undertaken through Sithe China, which comprised Sithe with a 40% stake and the Government of Singapore Investment Corp. and AIG-Asian Infrastructure Fund with 30% interests each. The project entered service in 1995. The power was sold to the Dongguan Power Bureau. In February of 2003, state-owned China Resources Power bought the assets of Sithe China. The assets also included Sithe China's interest in the 600MW coal-fired IPP project at Wenzhou in Zhejiang province and a 100MW coal-fired cogeneration plant at Tangshan in Hebei province. None None
