The Housing and Urban Technical Cooperation Project supports the policy reforms of the Affordable Housing and Urban Poverty Programmatic Sectoral Adjustment Loan (HUSAL), specifically in the areas of: i) national housing and urban policies and institutional frameworks; ii) unified housing subsidy policy; iii) housing credit and household savings systems; iv) urban real property registries and rights; v) the supply of urban land and access by the poor; vi) systematically upgrading poor neighborhoods; and vii) impacts of natural disasters. The project consists of seven components: national housing policy and institutional framework; housing subsidies; housing credit and household savings; urban real property registries and rights; national urban policy, slum upgrading and institutional strengthening; low and moderate income land development; and disaster prevention and management.
