Description | The aim of the module is to develop needs-based, efficient and sustainable housing financing for private households in order to contribute to the broadening and deepening of the Armenian financial system (overall objective). In addition to traditional housing lending, the FC module promotes lending in rural areas and lending to implement energy efficiency measures in private housing. The immediate target group is private financial institutions (FIs). The indirect target group is Armenian households with low to middle incomes. The Armenian Central Bank (CBA) has taken out an interest-subsidized loan of EUR 20 million, which it makes available to FIs in local currency via the state housing agency to grant housing loans. As part of an accompanying measure of EUR 0.5 million, the FIs are supported in the development of new housing loan products. |
