The project involves the construction of 20 houses for Malampandaram tribal families in Manjathode, Laha, Pathanamthitta. The houses are built on government-allotted land to provide permanent housing to families living in hamlets without permanent homes. The project faces challenges in extending water pipelines and electricity connections to the remote forest settlement, which has slowed progress. Four houses are near completion with basic electricity connections, but none have dependable water supply yet. The project is managed directly by social worker M S Sunil with no contractors or intermediaries, following a model where each house is sponsored individually.
