HPCL Project - Extension of VVSPL pipeline from Vijayawada to Dharmapuri

Information Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas has come up with HPCL Project - Extension of VVSPL pipeline from Vijayawada to Dharmapuri with a ticket size of 3315 INR Crores. This project in Oil/Gas/LNG Storage sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Completion Certificate/COD and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project Extension of Visakh-Vijayawada-Secunderabad Pipeline [VVSPL] from Vijayawada to Dharmapuri originating from existing VVSPL Vijayawada pump station in Andhra Pradesh to proposed Terminal at Dharmapuri in Tamil Nadu with a TOP at existing Kadapa Depot with an Ultimate Capacity of 5.85 MMTPA. Facilities proposed are laying 670 Kms pipeline with associated CP/SV stations, New Marketing Terminal at Dharmapuri, Receiving facilities at Kadapa Dharmapuri, Pumping facilities at Vijayawada, Intermediate Pumping stations and Pigging stations. The project is of National importance since the pipeline will be laid for meeting the overgrowing demand of petroleum products in the country and South India in particular with the growth of Indian economy. It is set up to cater to the petroleum needs of the Salem-Coimbatore belt. Old anticipated date of completion- 31/03/2021 New anticipated date of completion- 31/06/2021 Cost- Rs. 2677 crores Physical progress- Under construction, 60.40percentage as on May 2020 Financial progress as on 02/11/2021- 83.75percentage
