The São Simão, Miranda, Volta Grande and Jaguara Hydroelectric Power Plants are located in the states of Minas Gerais and Goiás. These projects were qualified under the Investment Partnership Program (PPI) through Decrees 8,893, of November 1, 2016 , and nº 9,174, of October 18, 2017, according to recommendations made by the PPI Council through Resolutions nº 3 and nº 11. These projects deliver their electrical energy production to the National Interconnected System (SIN), with a global installed capacity of 2,922 MW, and a respective physical guarantee of 1,972.5 average MW. According to the generation auction notice No. 01/2017 from the National Electric Energy Agency (ANEEL), the estimated infrastructure investments for these projects amount to a total value of R$272.556 million/year, during the concession period. These Plants had their concession tendered in a session on September 27, 2017, through the contracting of electricity generation services - under the regime covered by Law No. 12,783/2013 (as amended by Law No. 13,203/2015), for a period of 30 years, counting from the date of signature of the respective concession contract, which occurred on 11/10/2017. The auction presented an average premium of 9.73% for the four lots, and R$12.130 billion in bonuses for the grants. The concession of these projects follows the regime set out in Law No. 12,783/2013, in addition to observing the sectoral guidelines set out in the SIN's planning and operating instruments - as well as the rules of the Regulated Contracting Environment (ACR) and the Contracting Environment Free (ACL) from the energy sector.
