Halifax Regional Centre for Education (HRCE) will conduct system-wide speed drive change out in three of its schools to ensure control and operations of the school HVAC systems to control ventilation systems by enabling airflow to improve ventilation for occupancy well-being, for example reduce airborne disease/COVID-19 transmission. HRCE will upgrade building controls upgrades in 10 of its schools to better customize and control ventilation systems by adjusting amount of airflow at different times of day for different occupancy levels and based on outside environmental factors as a strategy to improve ventilation for occupancy well-being, for example reduce airborne disease/COVID-19 transmission. In addition, HRCE will replace windows and fans in two of its schools to better enable airflow to improve ventilation for occupancy well-being, for example reduce airborne disease/COVID-19 transmission.
