HS2 signs up to CO2nstruct Zero carbon reduction campaign

HS2 Limited has confirmed that it will become a CO2nstruct Zero Business Partner, joining more than 80 organisations from across the sector who have committed to share good practice about how they are reducing carbon. HS2 has already developed its own Net Zero Carbon Plan with new targets and commitments to make the project net zero carbon from 2035. Through this programme it is driving industry change, as the first transport organisation to secure PAS 2080 accreditation and with its requirement for a 50 per cent reduction in carbon from its contractors. Now it is bringing this expertise to CO2nstruct Zero. It has already been selected to lead one of the campaign’s major interventions this year, developing a roadmap to move towards zero diesel construction sites.
