Description
Description | The objective of the Electricity Loss Reduction Project is to contribute to the sustainable improvement in the quality of electricity services in Haiti to customers and to the strengthening of the financial and operational performance of the electricity public utility (EPH). The project will implement the following three components. The first component, improvement in the Electricite d'Haiti (EDH) management systems and practices towards a more customer oriented approach, includes incorporation of both the Customer Management System (CMS) and Technical Service Management System (TSMS); application of new procedures and rules; support for restructuring of the EDH anti-fraud unit; and construction of new facilities for a CMS, TSMS, call center. The second component, improvement in quality and reliability of services and increased revenue collection of EDH for selected groups of customers, several subcomponents including: selection of personnel for the socio-economically mixed zone and for the Large Customers Unit (LCU); improvement of quality of service to, and increase EDH's revenue from the socio-economically mixed zone through the application of a new customer oriented management approach, and regularization of EDH's large consumers through the application of the new customer-oriented management approach. The third component, participatory approach, project management, monitoring and impact evaluation, and replication strategy, groups all the supporting activities necessary for the successful implementation of the first two components. |
