Description

Description

Eronet was set up during the 1992-5 war and had been operating without an official license. It is 49% owned by Croatia's Hrvastske Telekomunikacije (T-HT), in which Deutsche Telekom has a 51% stake. Three private companies bought the remaining 51% in Eronet from a local state telecom company in 1999. The parent bank of one of the three firms sold its 4.48% stake to a local authority in December 2002. In 2002, a municipal court in Mostar ruled that the sale of the 51% stake was done illegally and in October of 2003 a higher court upheld that ruling. The Supreme Court of the Muslim-Croat Federation ruled that the smallest of Bosnia's three state-owned telecoms, Hrvatske Telekomunikacije (HT) Mostar, owned 51% of Eronet. As a result of the ruling Eronet changed its name to HT Eronet in march 2005, to reflect the company's new ownership structure. HT Mostar won a mobile licence in July 2004 in competition with Eronet, but had no network of its own. Eronet had no licence. At the end of 2004 Eronet had some 160,000 mobile subscribers. On March 13, 2006 Eronet d.o.o changed its name to . At the end of 2007, HT Mobilne (formerly Eronet) was 51% owned by the majority state-owned Hrvatske Telekomunikacije (HT) d.o.o. Mostar, BiH (or HT Mostar) and 49% owned by HT Hrvatske Telekomunikacije, d.d. Zagreb, Hrvatska (or T-HT Group). T-HT Group was a leading provider of telecommunication services in Croatia and was 51% owned by Deutsche Telekom and 36.8% owned by private and institutional investors. In 2012, HT Mostar was 50.1% owned by the government and 39.1% owned by Croatia’s T-Hrvatski Telekom, part of the Deutsche Telecom group. In Mar 2009, HT Mostar, together with BH Telecom and Telecom Srpske, were awarded 7-year 3G licenses for EUR 15 million ($19.9 million) each. Payment was required only in 2011. 2012/2013 capex not available 2011 Capex estimated = T-HT Group 2011 cahmm weirdpex US$ 164 million * subscriber share in B&H (396.1/2418)
