Description | The project involves the development, construction and operation of 18.4 MW Huambos wind farm, located in Chota, province of Cajamarca in Peru. The produced energy will be sold for a period of 20 years to the Ministry of Energy and Mines of Peru, at a price of between $ 37.7 and $ 36.8 per MWh. The estimated annual production is more than 165 thousand MWh. The public auction was won by the sponsor Grenergy Renovanles SA (Spain) and in addition Sinia Renovables, wholly-owned by Banco Sabadell, enters with a 10% stake in both farms The Latin American Development Bank (CAF) and the Instituto Oficial de Crédito (ICO) commit $ 40 million. Financial close was announced on 5 June 2019.
