Description | In February 2009, ECO International, a subsidiary of the Canada based company Prime Tech, was granted an agreement to build and operate a wastewater treatment plant (Phase I) in Huangmei County, Hubei Province after a competitive bidding process. The capacity of the facility was 30,000 cubic meters per day and the total investment was RMB 49.48 million (US$ 7.08 million). ECO International was expected to operate the facility for 30 years. The primary basic treatment fee was 0.739 Yuan per cubic meter, and the primary treatment fee for any extra volume of wastewater was 0.596 Yuan per cubic meter. ECO had a 100% stake in the project. |
