Description | In Nov 2008, a local private company Wuhan Kaidi Holding Investment Co Ltd signed an agreement with the Songzi Municipal Government to build and operate a biomass power plant in Songzi City, Hubei Province. However substantial construction work actually commenced in March 2011. The total investment was RMB 296 million (US$ 45.82 million) and Kaidi had a 100% stake in the project. The total capacity of the plant was 30MW. Trial run was undertaken in May 2012. The concession term of the project was not reported in the media. Very possibly Kaidi got the agreement through direct negotiation. At least 25% of construction had been achieved by Jul 2011. |
