Description | The South Carolina State Ports Authority is planning to build the Hugh K. Leatherman Sr. Terminal, a three-berth marine container terminal, in North Charleston. Phase one will include a stormwater detention pond, 4,167 miles of wick drains, a 5,000-ft-long pipe-pile and sheet-pile containment structure, dredging, and placement of buttress and armor rock. Also included is construction of a 6,000-ft-long, two-lane roadway, with 6,300 ft of ductile-iron water main and 6,700 ft of sewer force main. |
