Description
Description | "The Module ""Human rights and Eu pRivate internatiOnal law - HERO"" aims to advance education and research on the interplay between EU private international law (PIL) and human rights, addressing a critical gap in academic and practical knowledge. By focusing on the regulation of cross-border legal relationships and its implications for fundamental rights, the project offers an innovative approach to teaching and learning in this field. Hosted by the University of Milan, the project features a comprehensive program of lectures, workshops, and open seminars designed for law students, legal practitioners, and other stakeholders. These activities will provide a deep understanding of EU PIL rules and their human rights impact, supported by practical case studies. The project also prioritizes dissemination and sustainability. Key outputs include a dedicated website featuring relevant case-law and materials, as well as a contributed book that will serve as a lasting resource for academic and professional audiences. Led by Dr Michele Grassi as Project Manager and supported by senior experts Stefania Bariatti and Zeno Crespi Reghizzi, the initiative integrates cutting-edge scholarship with real-world applications. It is designed to have long-lasting effects, including curriculum enhancements, increased institutional capacity for teaching EU subjects, and strengthened networks of cooperation across the European Union." |
