Description

Description

The submitted project aims to deepen the understanding of human rights protection within the European Union, with a particular focus on emerging challenges in the field of international private and procedural law concerning cross-border implications in legal institutions where significant disparities exist among the legal frameworks of Member States. The project is structured into an educational component targeting students, as well as a dissemination component addressing the professional community through various activities. A partial objective of the project is to identify the intersections between human rights guarantees enshrined in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the EU and the free movement of persons, which, as a fundamental freedom of the internal market, is equally embedded in primary law, positioned at the apex of the EU acquis. Additionally, the project will partially focus on the relationship between the Charter and the European Convention on Human Rights, as well as the legal implications of the EU’s possible future accession to this international instrument.
