Human Settlements Development in Garden Route District Municipality

under implementation with challenges

The project aims to transform human settlements in the Garden Route District Municipality by addressing challenges such as poor project delivery, insufficient funding, and weak infrastructure. It involves building integrated, fair, and mixed communities with better housing, infrastructure, and services. The project utilizes government grants like the Human Settlements Development Grant (HSDG) and the Informal Settlements Upgrading Partnership Grant (ISUPG), and implements the Integrated Human Settlements Strategic Plan (IHSSP) to promote sustainable, inclusive communities.
