It aims to provide a faster alternative for Chile's connectivity, currently linked to the US and other continents via undersea cables. The project will also benefit other South American countries such as Argentina, Paraguay, and Brazil. The cable will have a capacity of 144 terabytes per second and is expected to last 25 years. It is intended for use by Google and other technology companies operating in Chile, enhancing digital route resilience and international collaboration. |
