Hungarian Eurograduate Survey 2026

Following the Council Recommendation on Tracking Graduates and based on the experiences gained by participating in Eurograduate 2022, we are planning develop our graduate career tracking system by adding our annually accomplished national module to the international Eurograduate survey in Autumn 2026. The Hungarian Graduate Career Tracking System collects data about fresh graduates’ labour market status since 2010. The planned Eurograduate survey will be carried out by the Educational Authority with internal human resources, because we have experience in it and we have access to the necessary background data (e.g. email addresses). The data collection will be an independent online questionnaire, relying both on the existing international graduate tracking survey and on the core questions of the annual national graduate tracking survey. Both groups of graduates who finished their higher education studies 1 and 5 years before the data collection belong to the target group – bachelor and master's programs as well as graduates of undivided programs, including non-Hungarian courses. We plan a full query, no sampling procedure will be applied. The data collection for this survey should take place in Autumn 2026, covering the 2024/2025 cohort (T+1) as well as the 2020/2021 cohort (T+5). All members of the target group will be invited individually to complete the survey, on the basis of email addresses officially stored in the Higher Education Information System (HEIS), as well as their institutional updates. The planned language of the questionnaire is Hungarian and English, the graduate can choose the language upon request. Due to bias in response, the data base will be weighted based on the proper statistics of the official HEIS database. Minimum weight variables will be year of graduation, level of study, subject of study, type of higher education institution, and gender. The planned output will be an individual-level, anonymised database and policy-oriented reports.
