The rapidly growing and hugely valuable health data, through the Hungarian eHealth Infrastructure and its evolving associated services, will enable it to contribute to the value creation of healthcare across the care continuum, supporting both doctors and healthcare professionals in their decision-making. This requires IT solutions that use a standardised nomenclature. The European Union is supporting the use of SNOMED CT through this invitation to submit a proposals. This gives Hungary the opportunity to contribute to the rapid exploitation of its significant health informatics developments by the gradual and widespread introduction of a uniform medical terminology.
