Description | The Hunter Valley Solar Foundry project is a $171 million solar module manufacturing plant to be built at Black Hill near Maitland. It will manufacture Sunman's enhanced Architecture Ready Composite (eArc) solar modules for local and export markets, supporting 100 full-time jobs. The project is supported by a $151 million grant from the Australian Renewable Energy Agency (ARENA) and $20 million from the NSW government's Net Zero Manufacturing Initiative. Construction is expected to begin in mid-2026, with initial production starting in the second half of 2027. |
