Hunter's Point South Parcel E Development

The project involves developing Parcel E, a 70,000 square foot vacant parcel in Hunter's Point South, Long Island City, into a multibuilding complex with affordable and market-rate housing, commercial space, community facilities, and public open space. The development is planned to include about 875,000 square feet overall with roughly 850 housing units, 230 parking spots, 20,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, and 16,400 square feet of community space. At least 60% to 70% of the residential units should be income-restricted, with rents affordable for households earning no more than 120% of the area median income. The city also prefers proposals that include a child care and/or early childhood education center.
