The project involves the construction of the 33 MW Huong Linh 1 Wind Farm, located at Huong Hoa town in Quang Tri province of Vietnam. The sponsor is Tan Hoan Cau Joint Stock Corporation (THC). The total investment is VND 1,600 billion or around $ 68.3 million. Foreign-denominated project funding was provided by Danish Export Credit Agency (EKF) and one of Vietnam’s largest banks. Vestas’ Structured Finance function assisted THC with securing the funding and also securing a local bank guarantee to the offshore bank, which in turn received a further guarantee from EKF. The project achieved financial close in December 2018; however the announcement was published in March 2019. Turbine installation is expected to commence around the end of Q1 of 2019.
