Description | In January 2013, a local private company Anhui Guozhen signed a concession agreement with the Huoshan County Government to operate the Huoshan County Wastewater Treatment Plant in Huoshan County, Anhui Province. Anhui Guozhen was selected by the local government through direct negotiation. A special purpose vehicle, Guoshan County Guozhen Wastewater Treatment Company Limited was set up in April 2013 and took over the plant for operation right away. The total investment was RMB 26 million (US$ 4.20 million). The plant had a capacity of 18,700 tons per day and Guozhen had a 100% stake in the project. Under the agreement, Guozhen needed to rehabilitate the facilities for better operation performance. The term of the concession agreement was 30 years. |
