Information Eastern Coal Fields Limited [ECL] has come up with Hura C OCP with a ticket size of 859.41 INR Crores. This project in Coal sub-sector involves The current status of the project is Notice to Proceed and is being developed through the EPC route. Economic/Social Impact of the Project A project report of capacity 3 MTY was prepared in April 2005 by CMPDI,HQ, Ranchi and ECL Board in its 193rd meeting held on 18.04.2005 recommended the PR of Hura C OC and directed to send the PR to MoC for both options i.e total departmental option and total outsourcing option. On the guidelines of MoC vide letter dt 04.06.09, RI-I, CMPDI was asked to prepare UCE for approval by CIL Board as per the instant delegation of power. PR for Hura C OC was approved by CIL Board on 15.10.2015 with total capital investment of Rs 359.69 Crores in outsourcing mode. As outsourcing mode could not be successful due to non possession of land a PR in MDO mode was prepared. CIL Board in 445th meeting held on 10.08.2022 accorded its approval of PR for Hura C OC 3.0 MTY in MDO mode with capital investment of Rs 859.41 Crores [Existing-289.41 Crores, Additional 570.00 crores] by ECL. It is a Greenfield Project. Tender in MDO mode has been finalized and contract agreement has been signed on 22.11.2022 for Development and Operation of Hura C OCP. Mining activities/ access trench cutting started from 15.12.2022. Coal production started from 28.02.2023. EC: Obtained for 3 MTY on 11.06.2007 F.C: F.C , Stage-II for 260 Ha has been Granted vide F.No. 8-6/2009-FC, dated 21.05.2019. Target for coal production FY 22-23 was 0.50 MT, Achievement for FY 22-23 : 0.239 MT. Target for coal production FY 23-24 is 1.00 MT, Achievement for FY 23-24 till Jan-24 is 1.349 MT.
