Description | The improvements at the Huron Brant Pumping Station will address the remaining deficiencies listed in the 2013 GD Jewell engineering report. The project’s main focus will be replacement of approx. 170m of existing force main with a larger main to allow the pumping station to adequately handle the flow in a high flow situations, new valves (2), a valve chamber, lights and prefab aluminum entrance hatch. Currently in high flow conditions, the community is required to hire pumper trucks to help the station keep up. By avoiding potential spills this project will benefit the off reserve environment. |
