The facility will be used for research purposes to advance and improve the existing microgrid offering and will be situated at Eskom's RT&D Rosherville facility. The scope includes a complete hybrid wind and solar PV microgrid with components such as solar PV with tracking, battery energy storage system, wind turbines, power conversion system, programmable load, network communication unit, ADMS capability, circuit breakers, site office and control room, detailed design, commissioning, project management, and staff training. |
