It consists of 69.2 kilometres of metro rail with three corridors and 57 stations, serving over five lakh passenger journeys daily. The project is developed under a public-private partnership model and aims to enhance urban mobility, reduce traffic congestion, and support the city's rapid economic growth. The recent refinancing facility of ₹13,600 crore from Indian Railway Finance Corporation (IRFC) will strengthen the project's financial sustainability and support future expansion plans. |
