Description | The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) is preparing a scientific and comprehensive action plan to meet future drinking water requirements due to the proposed expansion of its jurisdiction to the Core Urban Region. The plan includes strengthening reservoirs, pipelines, pumping systems, valves, and junctions, establishing dedicated filling points for high-capacity water tankers, and developing faster tanker filling systems. A contingency plan is also to be prepared for water-stressed areas, especially within Malkajgiri Municipal Corporation limits, with all necessary works to be completed by October. |
