Description | The project involves the implementation of Greece’s first two irrigation public-private partnership (PPP) schemes under the "Hydor 2.0" program, co-financed by the Recovery and Resilience Fund.The first scheme will upgrade the irrigation network of the Tavropos Agricultural Cooperative (TOEB) in Karditsa, with works covering the design, financing, construction, maintenance, and operation of an underground closed irrigation system serving about 115,000 stremmata. The second scheme will develop a fully integrated irrigation system for the Ypereia district in Larissa and Orfana in Karditsa, using existing boreholes to irrigate roughly 67,800 stremmata of farmland. Both projects aim to modernize water distribution infrastructure, enhance agricultural productivity, and promote sustainable water resource management in central Greece. |
