Description | Plant Agricultural Systems is planning to construct hydroponic greenhouses on a 772-acre site in Sanderson. The Phase I scope includes construction of 8.1 million sq ft of building space and installation of climate control, water recycling, irrigation, conveying, vegetable cleaning and refrigeration equipment. ARCO/Murray has been selected to provide design-build services for the buildings. The Netherlands-based VB Greenhouses Projects, a subsidiary of Plant Agriculture, is providing turnkey services for the project. A construction schedule will be developed following land acquisition; project completion is expected in 2025. |
