Description

Description

The aim of the FC module is to contribute to the share of non-fossil energy sources in India's cumulative electricity generation (NDC) by providing an efficient, reliable and long-term secure as well as environmentally friendly and climate-friendly electricity supply. The module includes the financing of several run-of-river power plant projects including the associated infrastructure on a high mountain river in the state of Himachal Pradesh, each with an output of around 15 MW. In total, this is intended to create additional generation capacities of at least 65.5 MW of installed capacity. The immediate target group are the electricity consumers in Himachal Pradesh and the neighboring states who are connected to the regional electricity grid. The project makes it possible to avoid additional emissions of up to around 161,000 t CO2 (equivalents) per year.
