Hyphen8: connecting dots to infinity

The project is structured in a network action thought the inner Sicilian land, which would interest about 15 different communities. The structure sees activities implemented in 2 main headquarters (Corleone area; Caltanissetta area) plus 1 headquarters hosting the training cycle (Etna area). Events, campaigns, meetings, workshops, workcamps would be the main activities. Health, well-being, civic participation, and critical thinking will be promoted as means to achieve the main objectives. In total, 64 volunteers will be hosted in two flows of 32 volunteers per year, divided in groups of 16 and sub-groups of 8. Each flow will have a duration of 40 days. The total number of partners involved is 8. At least 20% of participants from Ukraine are foreseen to be involved in the flows. The general aim of the project is to: • contribute to the improvement of health and well-being of vulnerable people, by promoting healthy, eco-friendly, and positive lifestyles in line with the HealthyLifeStyle4All Campaign. • contribute to building inclusive communities by supporting vulnerable groups impacted from the recent and ongoing crises such as COVID-19 and the Russian invasion of Ukraine. • raise awareness about prevention through campaigns, promotion and information dissemination, public discussions to improve the general and mental health of the populations. Four main deliverables will be produced: Hyphen8: connecting needs: a digital and interactive map reporting needs and vulnerabilities of the areas touched by the activities Hyphen8: connecting areas: a need analysis integrated with the existing scientific bibliography including the areas of 12 municipalities. Hyphen8: connecting tools: a T-Kit for youth workers to work with vulnerable young people and communities under the topic of health and positive lifestyles. Hyphen8: connecting policies: a Policy Recommendation to be addressed to the local and regional policy makers.
