HyPipe One Hydrogen Pipeline

HyPipe One is a hydrogen pipeline project approved by the government of Upper Bavaria, Germany. It is part of the national hydrogen core network and aims to support the hydrogen economy in Bavaria by enabling local supply, especially to the chemical industry in the Burghausen area and other regions such as Ingolstadt. The pipeline will be approximately 15 kilometers long and located near the border crossing with Austria, facilitating connection to hydrogen import corridors. The project is part of the larger HyPipe Bavaria – The Hydrogen Hub initiative, which plans a 300-kilometer hydrogen network in Bavaria with commissioning in the early 2030s. The project has been classified as a Project of Common Interest (PCI) by the EU, and the planning approval marks the start of the first expansion phase.
