Description | The project involves improvements on Interstate 25 between Fillmore Street and Garden of the Gods Road in Colorado Springs. It focuses on creating acceleration/deceleration lanes on the right side of the freeway to improve safety and ease of entering and exiting I-25, and to eliminate a northbound bottleneck. The project includes building a concrete dividing wall in the center median, shifting traffic configuration, repairing the I-25 bridge over Garden of the Gods Road, replacing twin bridges over Ellston Street, and making drainage upgrades. The final step is repaving the 1.5-mile corridor, expected to be completed by the end of summer. |
