This project is entirely in North Fulton County in the Sandy Springs area, and will begin approximately 2000 ft west of the Glenridge Connector intersection and end approximately 1000 ft west of the Glenridge Connector intersection. This project is a Quick Response Operational Improvement Project that proposes to extend the Glenridge Drive/Connector off ramp by widening I-285 to accommodate a full depth 12 ft exit lane, 10 ft shoulder, v-gutter, guardrail, and slope tie-in, so that the entrance point for the ramp is beyond the GA 400 queue (approximately 1000 ft). The project would also entail the replacement of drop inlets and drainage pipes, a concrete barrier wall replacement of approximately 280 ft, removing and resetting some signage, and adding some striping. The repositioning of the entrance point will allow drivers who use this exit to directly access it rather than sit behind vehicles that are queuing up on I-285 waiting to exit onto GA 400.
