Description

Description

The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is planning future widening of I-475/U.S. 23 near Perrysburg, including ramp modifications at two major interchanges. The project includes replacing the twin two-lane bridges over the Maumee River with wider structures to accommodate three lanes each way plus proper shoulders and ramp tapers at the U.S. 24 interchange. Additionally, two of the four cloverleaf ramps at U.S. 24 are proposed to be replaced with flyover bridges. The southbound I-475/U.S. 23 entrance from Dixie Highway and the mainline approach to I-75 will be revamped to eliminate weaving traffic. The project is in the feasibility study phase with no solid timeline or funding established yet, and construction is likely a decade away, with the river bridge replacement expected to be the first phase.
