The project targets completion by 2031 and involves constructing a new bridge to replace the southbound twin bridge, which will be brought down after the new bridge is completed. The northbound twin bridge, built in the 1930s, and the southbound twin bridge, built in the late 1960s, currently serve the area but are in need of maintenance and paint. The new bridge will be a toll bridge and is expected to improve efficiency and connectivity between the two states. |
