I-69 ORX Section 3 Approach Bridges and Roadways

Section 3 on the I-69 ORX project includes construction of three new approach bridges and roadways to provide all-weather construction access to the river for the future I-69 bridge. The project involves building southbound lanes of the approach bridges, with northbound lanes to be built as part of Section 2. The three bridges include nearly 200 concrete beams, among the largest precast beams used in the Midwest. The longest bridge is almost 4,000 feet long, requiring four concrete pours for the deck. Additional work includes embankment finishing, bridge joints and finishes, seeding, and roadway signage. The project is scheduled for completion later this year, with final steps involving shifting northbound I-69 traffic back to its original lane configuration and speed limit south of Green River Road.
