I-690 over Teall Ave and Beech St Bridge Replacement Project

To ensure the continued safety and operational efficiency of Interstate 690 (I-690), the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) will reconstruct a ¾-mile section of the highway including replacement of a 1,500-foot viaduct, or elevated highway, spanning Beech Street; replace the bridge over Teall Avenue; and improve Exit 14 at Teall Avenue (“Teall Avenue interchange”) in the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County. The I-690 over Teall Avenue and Beech Street Bridge Replacement Project is needed to address structural deficiencies on this segment of I-690 and safety and operational deficiencies at the Teall Avenue interchange. The limits of the project on Interstate 690 (I-690) (BIN1051139 and 1051149) are from Lodi Street, on the west, to Peat Street, on the east, in the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County. On Teall Avenue, the project limits extend from Burnet Avenue on the north to near Lynch Street on the south. On June 28, 2016 a Public Open House was held to present the latest project information, as described in the Draft Design Report.
