Description | The I-70 Floyd Hill Project aims to improve eight miles of the I-70 mountain corridor from west of Evergreen to eastern Idaho Springs. The project includes adding a third westbound I-70 travel lane functioning as an Express Lane, constructing a missing two-mile section of frontage road, building an eastbound I-70 extended on-ramp for slow-moving vehicles, improving traffic flow and access at interchanges, enhancing sight distance on curves, improving the Clear Creek Greenway trail, and creating safer wildlife movements. Current work includes bridge construction with overnight westbound I-70 closures for setting girders and removing temporary support structures. |
